Ian qualified from Birmingham University Dental School in 1990 and has worked in Sussex since then. He became the Practice Principal in January 1999, and has overseen the expansion and reequipping of the Practice, and another surgery, whilst managing an increase in surgery hours and associated staffing Ian is a silver provider of Invisalign, having had a keen interest in this area of dentistry for several years. Dr Ian R Goldsmith has been credited with Invisalign Gold provider status. Such a prestigious ranking is only awarded to those who complete a substantial amount of Invisalign cases each year.
He is married to Gill and they have two children Luke and Ellie. He lives in Buxted East Sussex. He enjoys gardening, travel and spending time with his family.

Tesh joined Down House Dental Practice in January 2018 and freshly qualified from Queen Mary University of London (The Royal London Dental Hospital) in 2017 for Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
He splits his professional time between several practices and is dedicated to helping patient’s improve their oral health with a big emphasis on prevention. Tesh is particularly interested in treating nervous patients, providing the best standard of care in a calm approach to make treatment as comfortable as possible.
Outside work, Tesh loves to spend as much time as possible with his family and friends as well as, travelling and running.

I have been practising dentistry for over 12 years.
I have a caring and gentle approach to patients ; taking their concerns and requests seriously to ensure that my patients are well looked after by myself and staff at Down House Dental Practice.
I have a special interest in cosmetic dentistry as I believe changing peoples’ smiles is one important step towards changing their lives. Examples are changing metal or badly looking fillings or crowns into nicer looking restorations to improve the way people smile and to increase their self esteem and confidence.
I am also looking currently to embark on courses in facial aesthetics and braces treatment.
I continuously keep my knowledge up to do by attending courses in dentistry.
Kristine LorenzoPosition: Practice Manager
I am one of the newest members of the team and I strive to ensure that the down house practice brand maintains its core values and I am confident that these ideals are lived each day by the Team I treasure.
We believe that clients are a gift to receive with gratitude and handle with care. We strive to do work that we love. We power through intense challenges and strategy sessions, pool our collective brainpower, support each other when it’s crunch time, and come back the next day to do it all over again.
Maureen ElliottPosition: Senior Dental Nurse Qualification: NEBDN Dental Nursing GDC Number: 113413
Maureen has worked for Down House Dental Practice for many years. In addition to her nursing she is responsible for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults as well as maintaining our emergency drugs and stocks. Maureen enjoys swimming, walking and reading in her spare time.
Chloe BorroughsPosition: Dental Nurse
I’m a registered dental nurse with my national certificate. I enjoy all aspects of my work especially looking after our patients and making them feel at ease. In my spare time I spend with my daughter meeting up with my family and friends.
Sara CarrPosition: Hygienist GDC Number: 162735
Sara joined our team in 2017 as a hygienist. She graduated from Sheffield University with a diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2014 and prior to that she worked as a dental nurse for 7 years. She has always enjoyed working with people, and the bonus of her job now is that she gets to help people develop their skills and knowledge so that they are able to take control of their health. In her spare time she often goes up north to visit family and friends, or into Brighton and London for days out to find new places to visit.
Lucy BatemanPosition: Hygienist GDC Number: 223807
Lucy joined Down House dental practice in August 2019. She graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene in July 2019. Prior to this, she worked as a dental care professional for 7 years.
Lucy enjoys working with patients towards achieving oral health and is most happy when patients have the confidence to smile. She recently completed training in tooth whitening (under prescription from a dentist).
Outside of work Lucy is training towards her black belt in kickboxing and enjoys reading and travelling.
Tina WhitingPosition: Receptionist
My role is a dental receptionist for Down House dental practice. I have worked here for over two years. I love meeting new people and working as part of a busy team. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs and spending time with my family and grandchildren.
